Caring For Your Yarn & Other Notes

All our yarn has been handdyed using acid dyes.

Our yarn is dyed in small batches (3-5 skeins) to help maintain consistent colour. However, due to the nature of the dye process, there will be variation between skeins. We recommend alternating skeins when working on a larger project, and always try and order your yarn at the same time if you know you will need multiple skeins.

The yarn is photographed to be true to colour but screens vary so please expect slight variations.

All skeins have been carefully rinsed after dyeing to ensure the water runs clear but a little dye may remain and bleed during the first wash. Please take care when washing your finished garment.

Our yarn is non-superwash so we would recommend hand washing in warm water using your favourite wool wash to maintain colour. When drying your yarn, always dry flat in a well-ventilated space, and out of direct sunlight.

All our yarn is dyed in a smoke free home but please note we have two cats and a dog. While every effort is made to keep yarn separate, if you have a dog or cat allergy please do get in touch before ordering to ensure our yarn is suitable for you.
