The fast-moving kingfisher is one of Britain’s most colourful birds. Predominantly found across England and much of Ireland, these diminutive birds are found flitting above meandering rivers in the early mornings.

The Kingfisher is one of five new entires into the Birds of Britain collection. Originally launched at Glasgow School of Yarn 2024, each of the five new colours is designed to complement five new bases. For the first time, they are also available as DK and Aran weight. 

Please note that preorders will close at 5pm GMT on Sunday 3rd November, or when spaces fill, whichever happens first. Preorders will take 4-6 weeks, shipping by Friday 13th December at the latest, right in time for Christmas.

A swirl of teal washes with a burnt copper third to create this bright yarn.
